From the Office home page select Install Office. Select Install (or depending on your version, Install Office). You signed in with a work or school account From the home page select Install Office (If you set a different start page, go to aka.ms/office-install.). Download: OS X El Capitan This will be downloaded as a disk image named InstallMacOSX.dmg. On a Mac that is compatible with El Capitan, open the disk image and run the installer within, named InstallMacOSX.pkg. It will install an app named Install OS X El Capitan into your Applications folder.

Office for Mac that comes with a Microsoft 365 subscription is updated on a regular basis to provide new features, security updates, and non-security updates. The following information is primarily intended for IT professionals who are deploying Office for Mac to the users in their organizations.
